while he currently calls mexico city his home, brian has strong ties to the midwest and east coast of the us. prior to forming studio jot with joss in ann arbor, mi, brian found his creative outlet in the musical venues of chicago, where he performed in a variety of clubs including the empty bottle and the historic green mill.
brian has a bachelor degree in political science from the university of chicago and a master of architecture from the university of michigan. in addition to his work with studio jot, brian is also a founding member of the design group refab, which blends traditional fabrication techniques with digital design methods to explore sustainable building practices.
